Our Products

The 7 basic types of Teflon Coatings :-

1)    Teflon PTFE :- PTFE ( Poly tetra fluoro ethylene ) non stick coatings are two - coat ( primer / top coat ) systems. These products have the highest operating temperature of any fluoropolymer
( 290oC /  550oF ), an extremely low co-efficient of friction, good  abrasion resistance and good chemical resistance.  PTFE is water base system.

2)    Teflon FEP  :- FEP ( Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene copolymer ) non stick coatings melt & flow during backing to provide non porous films.  These coatings provide excellent chemical resistance.  In addition to low friction FEP coatings have excellent non stick properties.  Maximum use temperature is 205 o C / 400 o F FEP is water base system.

3)   Teflon PFA :- Like FEP, PFA ( perfluoroalkoxy ) non stick coatings melt and flow during baking to provide non process films.  PFA offers the additional benefits  of higher continuous use temperature  ( 260oC / 500o F ), film thickness upto 1000 micrometer  ( 40 mtrs )  and greater toughness than PTFE or FEP. This combination of properties make PFA an excellent choice for a wide variety of uses especially those involving chemical resistance.  PFA is a water base system.

4)   Teflon ETFE :- ETFE is a  co-polymer of Ethylene & Tetra-fluoro ethylene, and is also known as Tefzel.  Although not fully fluorinated, ETFE has excellent chemical resistance and can operate continuously at 150 o C / 300 o F.  This resin is the toughest of the fluoropolymers and can be applied at film builds upto  1000 microns ( 40 mtrs ) to provide a highly durable finish.

5)   Teflon - one coat :- These solvent base liquid coatings are formulated with special blends of fluoropolymers &  other high performance resins to improve toughness & abrasion resistance,  because the film component stratify during baking, most of the fluoropolymer properties such as low friction & non stick characters are retained.  The resin provide adhesion & abrasion resistance.  These products can be applied to smooth clear metal.

6)   Teflon - S Dry Lubricant :- Dry lubricant coatings are special versions  of Teflon-s technology designed to provide lubrication under high pressure  / velocity ( PV ) conditions.  These are solvent base one coat systems.

7)   Teflon SF :- Soluble fluoropolymers, the newest of the fluoropolymer technologies which are uniquely different.  Dissolved in special per fluorocarbon solvents,  these coatings are designed for thin film applications, ranging less than 1 microns - 5 microns. Soluble fluoropolymer properties satisfy the need  for fluoropolymer properties where thicker films would interfere with the operation (as on a circuit board.)

OUTSTANDING PROPERTIES :-

*  Non Stick :-
Every few solid  substrates will permanently adhere  to a Teflon  finish.
*  Low coefficient of friction :- The co-efficient of friction of Teflon is generally in the range of 0.05 to 0.20 depending  on the load, sliding speed and particular Teflon coating used. *  Non wetting :- Since surfaces coated with Teflon are both  oleo- phobic & hydrophobic, they are not readily wet.  Clean up easier and more through - in many coats, surfaces are self cleaning. *  Heat resistance :-
Teflon Industrial coatings
can operate continuously at temperature upto 290oC
1550oF & can be used for intermittent service upto 315oC/ 1600o F with adequate verification.

Unique electrical properties :-
Over a wide range of frequencies Teflon has high dielectric strength.  Low dissipation  factor & very high surface resistivity.  By special techniques it can even be made electro conductive  enough
to be used as antistatic coating.
Cryogenic Stability :-
Teflon Industrial coatings withstand severe  temperature extremes without loss of physical properties. Teflon industrial coating may be considered for use at temperature as low as
- 270oC / 454oF.
Chemical Resistance :-
Teflon is normally unaffected by chemical environments.  The only chemicals known to affect all  Teflon  industrial coatings  are molten  alkali metals & highly reactive fluorinating agents.
